Who we are

Personal Pilot operates this flight-simulator coaching marketplace. We act as the data controller for personal data processed through the Platform. For any privacy request, contact us via the support page.

What we collect

Account details (name, email, role); pilot profile information you choose to provide (bio, experience, aircraft, languages, rate, photo); bookings, payments status, reviews, support messages; and basic technical data needed to run the service. Card details are handled directly by Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers.

How we use it

To operate the marketplace: create accounts, match students with pilots, process bookings and payments, run live sessions, send transactional emails (confirmations, cancellations, receipts), provide support, and keep the Platform secure. Administrators can access sessions and records for support, moderation and dispute resolution.

Legal bases (GDPR)

We process data to perform our contract with you (bookings, payments), for our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the service), and to meet legal obligations. Where required, we rely on consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Sharing

We share data with processors who help us operate: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database & authentication), LiveKit (live video), our email provider, and AWS (hosting). They process data on our instructions. Approved pilots' public profile details are visible to other users by design.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your data, and object to certain processing. Contact us via the support page and we will respond within the timeframes required by law.

Retention & security

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal/accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise it. Access is restricted and protected by row-level security and encryption in transit.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers.
